Potential of hazard mapping as a tool for facing COVID-19 transmission: the geo-COVID cartographic platform

The present research analyses the epidemiological bases, methodology approach and utility of Geo-Covid Cartographic Platform to face COVID-19 transmission at an intra-urban scale. is based on study main drawbacks limitations current risk maps, proposed hazard mapping presented as alternative with a high spatial-temporal accuracy. It 1) map neighborhood active focuses contagion, which are classified according several indexes, 2) highly-transited areas by potential asymptomatic positives cases 3) Points Maximum Risk contagion. In order test effectiveness for risk, it has been applied Málaga City (Spain) during stages epidemic in city (2020 2021). focus contagion basic spatial unit diagnosis implementation mitigation control measures.
